Ayer fui a una ceremonia de cierre de cadera y temazcal. Tenía años queriendo ir, por alguna razón lo aplazaba, tal vez necesitaba estar lista.
Fue una experiencia potente para todos mis sentidos, fue sentirme con las emociones a flor de piel y conmovida pero contenida y estable.
Platiqué sobre mis embarazos, mis decisiones, mis dificultades, mis partos, mis lactancias… y de alguna manera siento que fue un reconocimiento de mi propio camino por la maternidad, a mi manera, con las herramientas que he ido teniendo a lo largo de estos años, hoy más variadas, más claras, más “profundas” que hace 10…
Agradecí sinceramente por mis hijas. Siempre he estado consciente de que ellas han venido a enseñarme, pero ayer validé ese conocimiento y aprendizaje en mi que me ha formado en madre y en la mujer que soy ante la vida.
Siento que se integró algo en mi cerebro, me di cuenta que ser mamá no ha sido dejar en pausa lo demás, porque no hay un: cuando deje de ser mamá, sino es parte constante de un todo, que va enriqueciendo y nutriendo y experimentando, así como las demás áreas en las que me desarrollo, a la mujer que construyo día con día.
Enumeré acciones a las que me han movido mis hijas, que jamás imaginé tendría por ellas, como ir aprendiendo a poner límites, ir siendo más segura de mi, quererme más… wow! Todos aprendizajes fundamentales para la vida, para ser feliz!
Este momento de mi ciclo vital es el fin de una etapa y el inicio de otra, porque no voy a volver a ser mamá, una decisión que se matiza de satisfacción, agradecimiento y nostalgia y duelo, y este ritual lo aterrizó al presente, a la consciencia en mi mente y cuerpo.
Abrazo a todas las que he sido, reconozco en mí la que soy, plena y profundamente agradecida.
Muchas veces he sentido que me dejo al final, que he ido renunciando a pedacitos de mí en el camino, que a veces solo me llamo mamá; pero ayer, al terminar, me vi en el reflejo del espejo y ahí estoy: yo, completa, siendo una versión de mi más consciente, más sana, más sabia, más segura, más empoderada, más valiente; ahí me encontré.
